The Wonderful World of Technology!

Our world relies on technology so much now days that when I get called to work I am called by a recording (Smart Find). I got a call from Smart Find last night around 6:00 (we wont even get into the problems the system was having while I was on the phone) and I excepted the job.
So I left for the school at 7:40, arrived at 7:55, went to the door (it is cold out... about 28 or 29) and it was locked. I got back in my car, drove to the back of the building, that door was locked as well. Then I went to the last possible door (now 8:05) and it was... locked! I stood there on the phone trying to get ahold of someone to find out what the heck was going on. Finally I saw a lady walking by inside, I knocked on the door (now 8:10) and she let me in. She took me to the office of the secretary I was SUPPOSED to be subbing for and stayed with me, trying to help all she could. I finally got ahold of someone (now 8:13) at the district building, I told her I couldn't do anything because no one was there other than a few custodians. She said she would call around and see what she could find out and then call me back. The lady that helped me in then had to get back to work. The lady at the district building called me back (now 8:19) and said that it was a glitch in the system and no one is supposed to be working today. She told me she was very sorry for the inconvenience and that she would make sure I was payed for half a day! I then headed back out to my warm car and home into my nice warm bed... knowing that I am being payed as if I was there working until 12:00! I love my job and I love that sometimes even technology makes mistakes!

Welcome To My Blog!

Hey Y'all!
I'm Micah West and this is my blog about my life and my happily ever after!
Obviously I was raised to be a Princess!
I was born in Maryland, grew up in Virginia, and now live in Missouri. I still consider Virginia my home — it is so beautiful! Many of my friends (that I consider family) are there. So a piece of my heart is still there as well! I also have family here in Missouri. I love them and I am grateful to be around them now!
I am a photographer "Find something you love to do and you'll never have to work a day in your life."  — I love photography, it is a wonderful way to express myself and my creativity. I just started working with local school districts as a support staff substitute. I am excited about the opportunity it will give me to work with children.
I love people, animals, nature, photography, art, poetry, music, shopping, and all things girly...
Over all I love my life. I wouldn't trade it for anyone else's.  I am myself, and I know that is the best thing I can be.
If you want to know more about me, ask. I am always happy to talk... I love to talk!
I hope you enjoy my blog. I know I'll enjoy writing it!
